Nabeel Asif Qureshi ( Urdu: نبیل قریشی; April 13, 1983 – September 16, 2017) was a Pakistani-American Christian apologist. Raised by a devout Ahmadi family, Qureshi converted to Christianity from Ahmadiyya Islam as a university student following several years of debate with a Christian friend. [1] And it's presumptive. There is an emphasis in this book on history, source materials, and reliability of testimony which I am used to seeing applied to Christianity but which becomes riveting when seeing it applied to Islam. I also appreciated the way that Qureshi was careful to explain the differences between what Westernized Muslims teach versus Eastern Muslims. That in itself was an education and helped me see why some explanations of Islamic behavior (peaceful versus ISIS, for example) are so contradictory.

Most importantly, though, I think this book provides a window into what apologetics and evangelism look like in the context of real relationships. So many apologetics books are antiseptic, but real life is gritty and there are real consequences to changing worldview.
